Rehabilitation

We are proud to confirm that we do everything we can to ensure that all of our personal injury clients receive appropriate medical treatment to ensure they make the best and quickest possible recovery from their injuries.

For instance, Chris Taylor is the first person in the UK to be fitted with a state of the art Michelangelo Bionic hand. Mr Taylor talks about his accident and rehabilitation in the video below:

During your free initial interview we will discuss rehabilitation with you and consider whether you would benefit from any treatment which is either not available on the NHS or the NHS waiting list is too long. We may also consult with your GP or your treating consultant at hospital in order to discuss which treatment would benefit you the most.

We will ask the insurer of the person responsible for your injury to pay for the rehabilitation treatment. It is also possible to ask the insurer to pay for any operations or other treatment which is recommended by either your treating doctor or a medical expert we instruct to advice on your case.

The types of rehabilitation treatments routinely offered are:

Physiotherapy

Many of our clients have benefited from private physiotherapy treatment which has assisted them.

We have a long standing relationship with the Fay Pedlar clinic and are happy to recommend them as suitable providers of physiotherapy treatment.

psychology, trauma focused therapies and counselling services

Following personal injury, many people suffer from trauma adjustment difficulties, which can include anxiety and low mood.  We can help you access help to overcome these difficulties and recognise that quicker access to service is important.

We have a strong relationship with accredited providers of Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Counselling.  If recommended, a course of sessions can greatly aid the recovery process.

We are happy to recommend SSL Therapy Services as a suitable provider of psychological treatment.  Click here for testimonials.

Chiropractor

Many clients benefit from being treated by a Chiropractor who will diagnose, treat and prevent any discomfort felt in the spine and other joints. Common reasons to see a Chiropractor include:

  • Back pain, neck pain and shoulder problems
  • Joint pain and muscular problems
  • Leg pain and sciatica
  • Sports injuries

Skin Camouflage

If you have been left with a scar following your accident then it is possible to use products to hide your scarring with amazing results. Click here for more information.

Operations

We have successfully arranged for numerous private operations to be carried out to assist our client’s in their recovery. The opponent’s insurers have paid for these operations. As an example of some types of operations successfully carried out these include:

  • ankle and knee reconstruction
  • dental procedures and reconstruction
  • spinal procedures
  • scar revision surgery
  • operations to arms and hands

MRI scans and CT scans

MRI and CT scans are able to provide very clear pictures of parts of the body which in turn may enable both your own doctor and any medical expert we instruct to assist in your case to determine exactly what is causing you pain or discomfort. This in turn may enable further appropriate rehabilitation treatment to be recommended.

We are able to arrange scans at relatively short notice.

Prosthetics

In those cases where clients are very severely injured and have suffered amputation of limbs it is possible for us to arrange funding for private companies to provide a range of prosthetic products offering significant improvements in quality of life.
