At Gard & Co. our wills and probate lawyers have been assisting clients in managing their affairs and advising them on all aspects of wills, trusts, estates (probate) and related matters for nearly 200 years.
Despite this history we are still at the forefront, being the first firm in Plymouth to achieve the Wills and Inheritance Quality Scheme (WIQS) accreditation from the Law Society. The scheme is intended to help the public make a confident and informed choice of solicitors who follow best practice and procedures to meet the highest standards of technical expertise and client service in the areas of wills and probate.
Wills, powers of attorney, trusts and estates (probate) are very personal matters so every client is given personal attention. One of our wills and probate solicitors will provide discreet guidance in this often complex area of legal work.
Everybody’s circumstances and wishes are different so every time we provide a service it is individual, tailored to your needs, not a standard, fill in the blank, package deal. However, in most cases we are still able to give you a fixed quotation.

We also have a number of wills and probate solicitor articles available to download. Click on a link wherever you see one.
We understand it is not always easy to come to us. That is why our wills and probate lawyers offer the Home Visit Service to clients who would like to discuss issues such as making a Will, creating Trusts, Lasting Powers of Attorney or, discussing the administration of a deceased person’s estate (Probate).
We can visit clients in a hospital, hospice, care home or nursing home to help sort out their affairs and can make out of hours appointments by arrangement.
If you would prefer to deal with your legal affairs at home or otherwise out of the office please contact us on 01752 668246 to arrange a visit.
