Amy is a solicitor in the conveyancing department. She deals with all aspects of residential conveyancing including the sale and purchase of freehold and leasehold properties, transfers of equity and re-mortgages.
Amy graduated from Cardiff University with a First Class Honours degree in Law and Sociology and went on to obtain a distinction in the Legal Practice Course at the University of Plymouth. She was awarded the Plymouth Law School Saltram Scholarship for her academic achievements and commitment to law and legal practice.
After completing her legal studies, Amy joined Gard & Co in May 2013. She worked as a conveyancing assistant for two years before starting her training contract in April 2015. Amy gained experience in both contentious and non-contentious areas of law and, after qualifying as a solicitor in October 2016, she returned to the area she enjoys most; residential conveyancing. Amy enjoys interacting with clients and strives to deliver an efficient, friendly and personal service.
Outside of work Amy enjoys swimming, netball and country walks. She has sat on the Plymouth Junior Lawyer Division’s committee for a number of years and enjoys getting involved in events and fundraisers in the legal community. In contrast to office life she also likes to set herself physical challenges, and has completed the 10k Royal Marines Commando Challenge and more recently the Torbay Half Marathon.
