Helen is a solicitor in the company commercial team at Gard & Co.
In addition to business transfer work, Helen specialises in all aspects of commercial property work. This includes the sale and purchase of freehold and leasehold commercial property, acting for clients purchasing at auction, advising clients on the grant of a new business lease or the assignment of an existing lease and the completion of commercial re-mortgages. She is also experienced in working with Professional Pension Trustees in connection with the transfer of commercial property into a Self-Invested Personal Pension (SIPP) or Small Self-Administered Scheme (SSAS).
Helen takes the time to make the legal process as simple and understandable as possible for her clients. She works closely with them and with the other professionals involved in a transaction to achieve a successful outcome. She likes to do this with a sense of humour wherever possible!
Having graduated from Sheffield University, Helen also chose to complete her Legal Practice Course there. She then finalised her training at a Cornish firm, being admitted as a solicitor in 2009. Prior to joining Gard & Co Helen practiced as a solicitor in both Exeter and Cornwall.
Outside of work, Helen likes to keep fit by going to the gym and playing tennis at her local tennis club. She also enjoys socialising, going to the cinema and is learning to play the piano.
