Kathryn attended the University of Plymouth obtaining a First Class LLB (Hons) degree in Law. She joined Gard & Co. in February 2014 as an Administrative Assistant before shortly progressing as a Legal Assistant in our Wills & Probate department where she worked for over three years. During this time, she undertook the Legal Practice Course combined with a Masters in Law, Business and Management at the University of Law in Bristol on a part time basis.
During her Training Contract, Kathryn moved on to work in the Personal Injury and Litigation department and the Family department. After qualifying as a solicitor, Kathryn has continued to work in the Family department as she is passionate about helping families through difficult situations.
Kathryn is concerned to help students who are aspiring to enter into the legal profession and has been part of the University of Plymouth’s Mentoring Programme since 2017. Kathryn was also elected Education Secretary for the Plymouth Junior Lawyers Division in 2017/18 and is now Chair of the Plymouth Junior Lawyers Division for 2018/19.
Outside of work Kathryn enjoys baking and taking long walks. She also enjoys youth work and is part of the youth team at her local church.
