Senior solicitor in the Dispute Resolution and Personal Injury Departments at Gard & Co, Russell is an experienced and knowledgeable solicitor.
He believes in the importance of thoroughly explaining matters and the claims process to clients to ensure they are well informed and can be guided and assisted in pursuing their claims to a prompt and successful outcome.
With over 25 years experience in winning millions of pounds in damages in all types of accident claims, including accidents at work, trips and slips, accidents abroad, product liability and road traffic accidents, Russell’s wealth of experience enables him to balance the needs of his client alongside the rigours and constraints of the claims process. He specialises in cases involving life-changing injuries and complex claims where liability is strongly challenged.
His successful cases range from securing a settlement of over 1.2 million for an injured motorcyclist to winning a 5 day trial involving an inventor who lost the opportunity to develop his patent due to trauma suffered in a road traffic accident.
Russell understands that the process of claiming for a personal injury can be very daunting. He is friendly, approachable and professional, and his clients can rely on him as a trusted advisor whilst he takes their case to settlement. He is committed to providing clients with the best possible service by ensuring that the compensation claim process is as streamlined, easy to use and as stress-free as possible.
Outside of Gard & Co, Russell is a keen walker, enjoying the coastal paths of Devon and Cornwall and also completing a sponsored walk for SCOPE in Nepal. His next challenge is to walk the Santiago de Compostela trail, an historic route of over two hundred miles across the Spanish mountains. He also practises Yoga and enjoys the theatre and reading.
