Based in Plymouth for over 200 years, Gard & Co are proud to support local charities each year. This year Gard & Co are delighted to be supporting Improving Lives Plymouth.

Improving Lives is a charity which aids people with their physical and mental health as well as their overall wellbeing. They run information, advice and support services for people with disabilities and long-term health conditions.

A charity at the heart of our community, supporting and inspiring people to improve their physical and mental health and wellbeing. This charity has provided support to over 20,000 local people through information, advice, and practical support. They offer a wide range of information, advice and support services on various matters, such as:

Hearing & visual impairment
Inclusive physical activities
Learning disability support
Veterans and their families
Support with long term health conditions
Assistance with sensory impairments
Unpaid caring roles
Wellbeing
Age positivity

Improving Lives advocates for a better future for all and wants to help build people’s resilience and confidence to aid them to lead happier and healthier lives. They wish to ensure everyone receives the help they need to not just survive, but thrive.

We understand that the current economic conditions are creating additional pressures that can lead to poor mental health and wellbeing and that’s why we want to help our local community as much as we can.
