Michelle is a member of the conveyancing team at Gard & Co. where she deals with all aspects of residential conveyancing including freehold and leasehold sales and purchases, re-mortgages and transfers of equity.
Since qualifying as a Solicitor in January 2011 Michelle has dealt with a wide range of residential conveyancing and private client matters. She worked at Whiteford Crocker and then subsequently joined Curtis when the two firms merged. She was given the opportunity by Kitsons to expand her property portfolio and joined the commercial property team in Torquay in October 2014. She then worked for Woollcombe Yonge as part of the Private Client Department dealing with wills, probate, powers of attorney, trusts and tax matters before joining Gard & Co. in 2018 to further pursue her interest in property law.
Michelle moved to Cornwall after completing an LLB (Hons) at Bedfordshire University, the Legal Practice Course at the College of Law in London and her Training Contract with a practice in Buckinghamshire. She now lives in Devon.
Michelle started working in the Law in 2000 as a Legal Assistant during her gap year and has held many support roles advancing to PA to a Senior Litigation Partner before starting her Training Contract. Her broad experience in differing roles within the legal environment equips her with a unique insight into the importance of clear and timely communication with clients and she is committed to providing a personal, practical and competent service.
Michelle also has a strong sense of community spirit. Since meeting one of the Trustees of a Plymouth based baby bereavement charity called Little Things & Co at her previous employment in 2016 she has been involved with supporting them with fundraising and events ever since. Michelle did a tandem skydive in June 2019, which for her part raised over £600.00 for the charity and in July 2019 she was appointed to the Board of Trustees. Michelle is very excited by this new challenge.
In her spare time, Michelle enjoys reading, walking, swimming, going to the theatre and walking on the beach at Whitsand Bay with her family’s dog.
