Anthony is a partner in the firm and specialises in all aspects of residential conveyancing work. This largely comprises:
This also entails dealing with initiatives available to first time buyers and other forms of financial assistance such as Forces Help to Buy.
Anthony did his degree in Wolverhampton and took his solicitor’s finals at Guildford College of Law. He completed his training at Plymouth firm Lipsons, before being admitted as a solicitor in 1988, later becoming a partner in the firm, before that firm closed in 2000. Prior to joining Gard & Co. he worked as an associate solicitor at Thompson and Jackson.
Anthony joined Gard & Co. in 2003 as an associate solicitor before being promoted to head of the residential conveyancing department, and subsequently to partner in 2010.
Anthony will have lived in Plympton for 50 years in 2017, having moved from South Wales with his parents. Inevitably that, together with his over 30 years in Plymouth law practices, gives him a great depth of knowledge of the city and surrounding areas.
He is keen to make the process as simple and understandable as possible for his clients and to work with them and other property professionals to achieve a successful outcome. He likes to do this with a sense of humour wherever possible!
Anthony and his wife have 2 adult daughters. He preaches regularly in churches in Devon and Cornwall. He also enjoys listening to and writing about rock music, but would like to get to more live gigs. His Welshness comes fully to the fore when Wales are involved in rugby and football internationals.
